Everytime i install a program that uses Windows Installer, it hangs... (crashes) ,i cant even install my Office 2003 now =/ using notepad and wordpad to do me coursework.... my teacher will be like "FO Jack!" ;(

Flaze, you can get an update to windows installer off the microsoft site, effectively you can re-install it. Dont know the link, but have a search through the downloads section on m$ site.

dav if u lose your HL CDkeys just goto Run then type regedit then look for Sierra or something like that and theres a file called Key

it never happened in Windows XP, atm im running Windows Server 2003, runs much faster than xp, and uses much lower resource, pc spec:

AMD XP2200
Asus A7V8X-X
784 Meg DDR 266
GeForce FX5200
120 Gig + 40 Gig HD (1 Western Digital, 1 Seagate Baracuda)
1GBit LAN Connectivity,
umm...... and a shit monitor

but this is a YARR version right?

some versions can be unstable on a rock solid PC... I had 2 diff versions of XP pro and one ran like shit while the other was stable.. sounds silly but have u tried reinstalling? or tried installing stuff in safe mode (if you can do that - dunno if diff boot options are available and if u can install under safe mode)

whee longhorn ... i have obtained it again recently so I might install it too (bout to format/reinstall on one pc here) as the version i installed months ago was right buggy.
