go into CS, go to play online, go to create. click dedicated server button, select player numbers, start map, then play. to change map rotation alter the server.cfg file or something (i dont remember). install adminmod (the instructions are quite easy to follow) then Cheeating Death (cos HLGuard sucks)

You can if you change 27015 to 27016, then server and client can both be run on the same machine, could cause lag if the computer isn't up to it though...

dav....if you use cheating death, you have to disable VAC. So its not neccessarily better than using HLGuard. Its just an alternative. i.e "HLGuard + VAC" or "Cheating Death".

If you mean ppl on your home network then yes, they can connect to it via LAN game rather then playing online.

that IP is your local one, ppl outside wont be able to acess it on that address

www.whatismyip.com go there, find it out, add the port and give that out

and: "Online" erm ? what do you mean by that

erm ur details are public... your host address is is *@gotadsl.co.uk the same for every nildram customer with a static IP plus you just posted your IP address above so if you dont want them public then dont post that

anyway back to topic, when you say hostname do you mean the actual name of the server that will appear in the listings and when someone connects to it?
