After my faithful old (v1 - got it the day they came out) PS2 had been acting up as of late I decided I needed a new one as some discs (like 80% of dvd based games) couldnt be read ... my new one that I was ment to get on friday finally turned up tody!

It does have a fan in it yes so its activley cooled, tis a tad warm to the touch but less then its fatty older sibling (mostly due to having the PSU outside of it on a brick style unit)

Also Stu expect a court summons for stealing my property for use in your own work without obtaining prior authorisation and for not displaying owner identification

I'll post some inside pics (as in inside the PStwo) once my special shipment arrives.

I cba'd with xbocks personally ... I dont have any desire to own one for a gaming machine (but kinda want one for other things - saw a hole bunch of them running linux opperating as a renderfarm, albeit not a very good one) .. I'll get one next year I thinks when if I ever have a bit of cash floating about

shame there will never be an xbox slimline version, I'd like that ... but I suppose thats what you get when you go against the practices used by every other console made (ie designing and fabricating custom hardware and not using off the shelf pc parts) ... still thats what makes it a bit more interesting to me as some parts can be changed
