Another good reason for buying now is that you may get a Japanese version (actually made in Japan) like I did, they have SHARP manufactured screens which are technically better (brightness, contrast and clarity apparently

) then the Chinese made ones which use Samsung panels. By the time PSP is out here manufacturing will have long stopped in Japan and we (euro, well USA too) are going to recieve ONLY the Chinese made units.

yes i did in a very rushed manner lol

My square button is fine (not had any responsiveness problems or sticking etc) and they havent altered the design for the units they are producing for EURO/USA release so any new units will be just as good/bad

er i have some vids... hard to get pics as its very fast moving (as it is Ridge Racer

) but to give you an idea its better then a PS1, not quite as good as a PS2 tho.

Yeah that is me Stu .. it was hard to play as I was watching it through the LCD display on my digital camera (was recording the vids with that) and it has a slight delay lol!

I paid £280 total for a PSP standard pack, ridge racer game, official case & strap, official headphones with strap (both bought else where) and a 512mb Memory Stirck Duo (comes wit ha wanky 32mb of uselessness)

A good place to buy from is GBAX.com, they are a bit more moeny atm but you wont pay ANY import duties or additional VAT (ie if you get done by customs they will make you pay value added tax on top of the price you paid even if you were charged tax in the original country) AND you get 1 years guarantee!

Other then that Lik-Sang have them down to £200 for the value packs (£170 for the standard) which is a very good price and, usually, Lik-Sang mark the value down so you dont get stung by customs.

Another place to try (that I dont use much for BIG purchases) is play-asia.

If you want a real place to go to try Game Focus on Goodge Street (just off tottenham court road, not the oxford street/centre point end), no use to you northerners really, tho GBAX are based in Newcastle upon Tyne which still may be of no use to some

If you can wait till end of/after march (not long now) it should be out in the UK tho rumors have the RRP for UK set at over £200 for standard packs (theres no official pricing yet and we ALWAYS get bashed on console prices

)
